In the Oakes Museum prep room we cleaned, organized, and recorded our findings.

Following our excavation at the Stouffer Farm, we brought the artifacts back to the Oakes Museum prep room, where we cleaned, organized, and kept record of them. A fellow classmate and I were responsible for the artifacts found in Units 5 and 6 of the West Room and we wrote about our findings earlier this semester in our Archaeology Reports about this semester’s fieldwork. For this project, however, I focused most heavily on Unit 6 and its contents, mainly due to time constraints. I returned to the prep room to take photos of all artifact groups found in the three SUs uncovered this semester in Unit 6 (1211, 1212, & 1213) and also kept notes of trends and similarities found between these SUs (while also considering finds from previous excavations). The results of my research and musings can be found in previous pages.

I later returned to photograph the various object categories from each of the three SUs from Unit 6.
